I recently returned from a wonderful trip to California to visit my kids.  The weather was was warm and beautiful in southern California.  This day was perfect for making a trip to the beach.  This photo is the beach in Long Beach.

My son and I along with my two small grand daughters had a wonderful time playing in the water and on the beach.  Walking from the car to the beach was made much easier with a few items we needed to enjoy our day.  We wanted to take some folding chairs, beach toys, towels, blankets etc.  My son had everything we needed to make our walk easy and fun!

Here are a few of the things I recommend when visiting the beach if you need to take several items especially with children.
